WARNING! The Big LIE About Internet Marketing (And The Simple "SECRET" You Need to Succeed)

I've always been a big believer that knowledge is power. That what you KNOW has real value. And equally as important....what we DON'T know often has a lot of value as well. (and not knowing it can lead to bogus beliefs that have us ALL chasing our tails for far too long)
Let me give you a super simple example.
I want to share a fact with you that many online marketers won't. (or don't yet know)

  • Very few people actually have money to spend on "internet marketing" products.
  • Probably less than 5% of the people studying "how to succeed online" ever spend REAL money on guru launches, product promotions, coaching, seminars and the like. Sure they'll buy $27 eBooks, or $19 dollar templates, or occasionally invest in the $97 product or program.
  • But that is really small potatoes...and it's very tough to "get rich" selling inexpensive digital downloads long term. (especially today)

And while everyone likes to throw around the big product launch profit numbers... it takes millions and millions of emails and hundreds (sometimes thousands) of aggressive affiliates to generate those sales.
If 500 people buy a $1997 product in a weekend... sure, it makes a million dollars in 48 hours, and that sounds pretty darn successful. If 1000 people buy that product, is makes 2 million in the very same short window of time, and again... everyone is envious... and impressed.
But if 500,000 people actually were PITCHED on the product via email, and blog updates, and social media conversation, etc... those 500 sales look pretty paltry as an overall picture of a products popularity. (and is a conversion rate SO small... that is almost embarrassing in any market OUTSIDE of "IM")
That doesn't include the 50% commissions paid out to partners, the charge backs, the 7%-12% refund rate, the merchant fees, etc.
As a matter of fact, if you think about it, getting rich selling people on getting rich, is.....well, a pretty silly strategy long term, and you don't need to be Steve Jobs or Warren Buffett to see it's NOT something you can count on for long.
I want to suggest something different to you.
If you are trying to earn a full time income online, and are considering the "IM" or entrepreneurial niche... STOP.
Don't do it.
Or at least, don't do it as you see it done online.
Instead, take your knowledge, and turn it into POWER. And then turn it into profit by sharing what you know with people who WILL benefit from what you have to share.
Instead of selling business opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs...
Sell them to EXISTING entrepreneurs instead.
Professionals who are already successful in their field, but don't know anywhere NEAR what you know about building their brand online.
They all need blogs. And Facebook pages. And content. And traffic. And SEO (even though I'm not a big fan of that term). They all need online marketing HELP... and more often than not, have a decent sized budget already allocated to making it happen.
I'll give you a quick example.
I have a client who offers email marketing "support" to professionals in a very specific high income field (a medical niche).
She charges $300 per HOUR to help medical professionals create continuity campaigns via email. (which is just a fancy pants term for setting them up with an auto-responder and writing a few messages a month)
She isn't even very GOOD at it yet.....and yet, has multiple clients and raving testimonials.
I have another friend who manages an industrial machine company for a multi million dollar US corporation based here in Florida. They pay a local "SEO" guy about 900 dollars a month for "optimizing" their website. He probably writes one article a month, and does a little bit of keyword research that may take an hour or 2 for that money.
To ME, that's crazy and my friend who manages the business.......wholeheartedly agrees! (but they willingly pay it as it's in the budget)
Trying to find 1 person to pay $900 a month for SEX in the "IM" space is NOT easy.
But finding businesses who budget $900 a month in online brand and business building, pretty much.....IS.
The good news? It's easy! And if you are serious about success....it's where YOU need to focus right NOW, if you want to stop spinning your wheels...and start making REAL money as an online entrepreneur! (no gurus, no gimmicks and NO bull!)
