1 Simple Rule To Succeed In Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is by far the best way to make money online. It can get somewhat complicated at times, especially if you are not organized. The best tip I can give anyone trying to succeed in affiliate marketing is to stay organized. This includes cleaning up your work space, organizing your time, and keeping your mind and your tasks clear.
It is so easy to get distracted and veer off course from what you were trying to accomplish. Get yourself a dry erase board or something you can have in front of you that you can always see. Brainstorm a list of daily tasks you need to do each day that you can check off or cross out once completed.
Having a checklist of tasks greatly reduces the amount of time and frustration spent trying to figure out your next step. If you are new to affiliate marketing I would suggest writing down daily tasks such as: commenting on blogs or forums, posting to your own blog, writing articles to submit to directories etc.
You should also write down a minimum number of tasks that you think you should do each day. This ensures that you are getting work done and helps to think of it as just little tasks at a time. It is a great feeling after you complete each objective. It gives you a sense of accomplishment and gets you closer and closer to your goal of becoming a wealthy, self made affiliate marketer.
You can always do more than what you wrote down, but never do less. Some days I am lazy and only feel like doing the bare minimum. But other days, I feel more motivated and go above and beyond the goals I set for myself. This strategy can only benefit your business. Over time, your links will continue to grow and so will your traffic.
Whenever I am working on a marketing campaign, I always write down everything I need to accomplish each day. It's basically like holding your own hand in the sense that you barely have to think to make money. Just follow the steps day by day and the results will come.
Begin as you mean to go on. Start your online business with a sturdy foundation and build it up the way it should. If you are not proud to say something is yours, it is a clear indicator you are doing something wrong.
Hey everyone! I am a successful internet marketer and just thought I would share my ideas and findings with the rest of the world:) Check out http://www.MillionaireCommunityOffer.com to be taught by self made millionaires!
To Your Success,
Curtis

10 Twitter Tips for 'Backyard Tweeting' By Chris J Tompkins

So you're tweeting away on Twitter about your latest blog...posting links to industry related articles...engaging with people, and so forth. You've followed some of your favorite folks, tweeted about your favorite place to eat sushi, and others are now following you. Like the dentist in Calgary and the life coach in Scotland.
What about the users in your own backyard? How do you find geographically closer prospects who may be interested in your offer?
Top Ten 'Backyard Tweeting' Tips:
1. Twitter Search. Type in your city's name to access a list of Twitter users in your region. The advanced search feature finds peeps up to a 15 mile radius.
2. Do a simple Twitter search for people tweeting about your area using the # (hashtag). Simply type- #your city name- or abbreviation in the search box.
3. Twellow - (Twitter + yellow pages) is exactly what it sounds like - a listing of Twitter users. Access your region by clicking on Twellowhood, then your location on the map...or type in your city and state.
4. Follow Twitter trending topics. On the right side of your Twitter page, choose the closest city to yours, then watch for topics of interest to follow.
5. NearbyTweets and GeoFollow offer constant listings of your local Twitter pals and their tweets. GeoFollow lets you bulk follow.
6. Why not Tweetup? A meet-up (offline) of nearby Twitter friends arranged - you guessed it -via Twitter. How to find these elusive group blind dates? Try Meetup (an event site with a special section for Tweetups), Twtvite (a site like Evite but for Twitter) and by searching tweetup geographically, on Twitter Search.
7. Localtweeps - started as a localizing site utilizing the hashtag, this one allows you to register and allows others to follow you or click on your website. You can search by zip code as well.
8. Look for apps- there are tons out there and more fresh apps are created every day to help you to find people in your area. TwitterLocal, Twinkle and more.
9. Twitaholic (formerly Twitterholic) -Not affiliated with Twitter, but the top twitter users in the country are listed here...and so are those hot shot Tweeters in your town. Just type in your Twitter ID under "your Twitaholic ranking." Once it comes back, click on the name of your city, next to your stats.
10. Search the lists of your local followers and those that you follow in town. This search is bound to yield some like-minded locals.

Have You Failed To See The Real Benefits of an Affiliate Business?

Expert Author Arthur R Moreno
The problem that most would-be web entrepreneurs have is that they are always slow to realize the power and potential of an affiliate business. This is something that has huge benefits that a smart entrepreneur can easily cash in on. One obvious reason for this "blindness" is the lack of experience most of them bring to their online businesses. Because they have never run an online business of any size it becomes impossible for them to see the huge advantages of being an affiliate.
And so they spend their time trying to develop their very own products and services online. The chances of such ventures succeeding when you consider their inexperience is more or less nil. Yet all they would have needed to do would have been to start off with an affiliate program. Even if they were determined to develop their very own products this would have been much easier later on with the cash and experience they would have earned from their affiliate business within a very short space of time
Why is it so advantageous to join an affiliate program rather than develop your own products? For starters what people need to appreciate is the investment in time (let alone cash) required just to keep a conventional business running. There are endless emails to reply to, customer complaints, product development and a million other things that constantly need your urgent attention.
Contrast this situation to running an affiliate business where all the time- consuming routine chores have been taken care of. You do not even need to ship the products yourself. In other words everything has been taken care of and all you need to is to refer traffic to your affiliate product pages. You just need to focus on that aspect of the business and develop a workable and viable plan.
This is usually a great opportunity for an affiliate to earn a huge income and still have plenty of time left on their hands to enjoy quality time with their family members and those that they truly love. Indeed the lifestyles of leading affiliates is such that they spend very little time running their businesses every day.
Most of all it is an opportunity to earn residual income for work which is mostly done once and then needs only to be followed by very minimal regular maintenance to keep yielding a huge income. And what is more is that as you get more accustomed to the affiliate business you will need to spend even less time on it and yet still earn the kind of regular income that most people can only dream about.. It is a real wonder that an affiliate has access to all these benefits, and more, for free and does not need to pay out anything to qualify to join one of the most efficient ways to earn money on the web. Turning your computer into a money-making machine is not hype but something that can be a reality in your life much sooner than you realize with an affiliate business.

Making Money Online By Doing Affiliate Marketing by Larry L O'Connor

You have your website set up, you are sitting at your computer and waiting for someone to visit it, and now you wonder, "What do I do next?" That is what many people are asking themselves. I am going to tell you how you can generate an income on your site and begin making money online by doing affiliate marketing. Affiliate income is a passive income source once you get traffic coming to your site. I mean passive because you can even make money while you are not working, it even can make you money while you sleep. Some benefits of making money online by doing affiliate marketing are:

  • "Efficiency of effort" because you do something once and get paid for it over and over
  • Income potential is unlimited
  • you can work from your home
  • you can do other things while your income is being generated

Making money online by doing affiliate marketing is generally accomplished by getting an affiliate id link from whatever company or service you want to represent, and then pasting that on your site. Usually this link is in HTML format and all you have to do is to copy and paste it in the appropriate spot on your site. An affiliate link has your information and works like a portal and whenever someone clicks on it, you get you credit for the sale when it is purchased and it goes into your affiliate account generally.
To get people to click on your link, you have to generate traffic to your site. This is probably the hardest part of making money online by doing affiliate marketing, I would say. It requires some work but if you love working on the internet and writing then it will not seem like work most of the time. You can generate traffic in a couple of ways.

  • Forum marketing is a popular way to get people to visit your site. You simply go and participate in conversations that are taking place in the forum and offer legitimate assistance and conversation to people. This is considered a silent agreement in a way because as you participate you will get people wanting to find more about you and they click on your website. You may end up doing the same thing as well.
  • The other way I use is article marketing. This is just writing articles to use with your link in your signature. It's fun, for myself, because I like to write and if you do then it will be fun for you as well.

You can begin making money online by doing affiliate marketing today, all you have to do is go and find the affiliate companies you want to work with. The income will come in but keep in mind that it takes time to build the traffic and get your site in front of people. I let people know it may take more time than getting paid per hour, but the results are way more because the income can be generated over and over for the same article or affiliate link and is therefore much more cost-effective and has more potential income.

A BASIC BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO KEYWORD RESEARCH TODAY

Keyword Research is numero uno in the process of optimizing your web site and pay-per-click campaign. This step involves choosing the most apt keywords your target group requires to improve its ranking in search engines.
In a layman’s parlance, keywords are nothing but words and / or phrases which people may use to locate your services, products, information or brands via search engines.
Step 1: Keyword Identification
The first activity in the keyword research process is the identification of keywords. Keyword identification means locating the keywords which are used by your target group. You look for related keywords. First, you identify the industry and then zoom into the specific field. For example, if you own this pet shop, you should take up keywords like: "cat food" and "dog food".
Step 2: Locate Your Keywords
The second activity in the keyword research process is a more informed and technical search. It involves finding keywords that people actually use and organizing them by their popularity.
To locate keywords and find out their popularities, you can make use of the Aleksika keyword search box to know more about the search behavior of your target audience. Learn what they call things, the way they identify subjects, how broad or how precise their search generally is. These parameters become essential in looking for the right keywords.
You may also access relevant and useful ideas for keywords from the collection of top keywords containing the top one hundred keywords of the last year or maybe a keyword directory that offers keywords organized by subject. Wordtracker is one such program that allows you to look for relevant keywords.
Step 3: Choose Keywords
The method of deciding on the right keywords involves the following steps. Copy all relevant phrases and counts onto a spreadsheet. After you have made an examination of all individual words and phrases that might apply to your website, you will have every single important phrase on your spreadsheet.
Instead of making your search more vague and inaccurate, (which generally happens when you try to choose one-word keywords), it is suggested that you focus your concentration on only those keywords that can be easily managed. And that would typically mean phrasal keywords.

Want to Get Rich Online? CAUTION! 3 Facts The "Gurus" Won't Tell You (But I Will)

Expert Author Ian Ross Hollander
Who else thinks that getting rich online is easy? Do you believe that there are simple strategies that can literally take you from "zero" to an astronomical income in a mere matter of months? Or maybe you've seen those ads and offers that talk about how someone earned some insanely crazy amount of money in 30 or 60 days without doing much work? Unless you've been sleeping under a rock, if you are an online entrepreneur, you already know that the landscape, and the language in our industry is full of hyperbolic promises that often sound too good to be true, right?
And yet... it never ceases to amaze me how many people buy into the myth, and neglect to focus on the reality that building a REAL business that is viable, and has real value is a lot of work.
Before I share with you what I believe are the most important lessons of my own entrepreneurial career, I want to give you a simple suggestion. If you want to REALLY learn the "secrets" of making lots and lots of money... read books (or bios) on people who have done it while creating massive value in the world. A sample chapter from Steve Jobs recent biography, for example, in my humble opinion... is worth more than a lifetime of internet marketing sales-letters will ever offer.
The GOOD news?
If you have passion for something and are willing to work, you can do amazing things online for both your brand, your bank account and your business to boot. (and have a ton of fun along the way)
With that said - AVOID buying into these 3 misconceptions because they will hold you back.
1 - You DON'T need to learn "everything" to make great money online. On the contrary, the best marketers and most successful online entrepreneurs are usually the ones who have mastered ONE simple strategy. Be it PPC, or social media, or organic content like I focus on building, the truth is, staying very linear and hyper focused in one area you can truly master will get you FAR farther than learning a zillion different techniques that are mostly worthless.
I believe that the pursuit of ALL knowledge is the biggest enemy of achievement for online entrepreneurs, because it gives us a perpetual "permission slip" to keep learning, rather than getting our faces muddy and doing the actual work it takes to make money!
2 - It's MUCH easier to sell "YOU" than it is to sell information products forever. In other words, if you can create a real world offer that helps people, it's far more lucrative than creating a bunch of "info products" to sell to the very same group. I always say, I'd much rather pay a personal trainer to whip my behind into shape... rather than buying his (or her) eBook on how to do it myself. The same applies to just about EVERY profession and passion online, and if you can codify your content into service you can sell, you can (and will) earn big bucks far faster than trying to sell digital downloads. Period.
3 - Content is NOT KING. Conversation is. And community is a close second. The truth is, in today's social media marketplace, having an open and honest and entertaining conversation with your clients in a community environment that you can control is the very BEST way to build your brand, and your business that there is! Content is important of course... which is why I'm writing this, right now. But ultimately, you don't make real money from content. You earn it from the continuous and consistent conversation you have with people who share your passion for a given topic... and turn to YOU to be informed, educated and improved in areas that you are strong, and they are weak and want to get better!

Common Sense SEO

COMMON SENSE SEO STRATEGIES
Want to see your website dancing at the top of the Google rankings for your keyword phrases or your niche? Yes, it is possible. Simply read on to find out...
Google, MSN, and Yahoo all use their own methodologies and/or algorithms to calculate the relevance of your pages, but here are a few common factors that are accepted by most to guarantee good rankings in renowned search engines.
Analyze your pages, and start the process today; remember to resubmit your changes when you are done, and the traffic will start to flow.
1) Keyword Density
Try to achieve a 3.5% to 7% keyword density for each of your pages. This means, your keywords should get repeated 3 to 7 times per 100 words written. However, do NOT overuse your keywords on the same page. Related keywords may help further.
There was a time when random usage of keywords was accepted by major search engines. This led to utter chaos and visitors hardly got to read what they were looking for. This was brought to the notice of search engine webmasters and it changed the rules overnight. Today, it is considered spam and the offender is punishable by law.
2) Keyword Phrase Choices
It is next to impossible to get a high rank for a single keyword, so make sure you aim for some lower-demand phrases too. The keyword ‘coffee’ has been listed in Overture as getting searched 370830 times a month. ‘Coffee’ as a keyword has an immense competition. However, a key phrase like ‘coffee club’ shows just 1813 searches. Getting a number one rank for coffee would of course be wonderful, but having a moderately good rank for several lower-demand keywords must be an essential part of your search engine optimization strategies.
3) Original Content
Google can penalize websites that offer exactly the same content, and this can result in lower ranking for all sites. In extreme situations, the website may be written off from the search engine forever. How many times have you seen multiple sites meant to promote the same old resale rights product? All of them display the same old sales page. The cleverest thing for you to do would be to simply rewrite the sales letter and submit that page to the search engines. This is vitally important SEO tip. Make sure you put in connected words and phrases; not simply the targeted keywords. Originality always sells. And it sells more than any other strategy ever used.

4) Linking Right
Make sure all your links use proper text. How many times have you seen "click here to visit" on a website? Simply changing the link text will cause your page to rank higher in all the search engines. You may also select connected phrases as link text. An interesting text link raises the visitor’s curiosity and increases the value expectation of the product.
5) Repetition of Key words and Phrases
Do ensure that the key phrases and keywords that you select appear multiple times in every one of your paragraphs and the entire content as a whole. Remember to put in connected phrases and keywords to help give a boost to your SEO. Do not let yourself get attracted to keyword stuffing which is the other name for indiscriminate repetition of the same keywords again and again.
5) Update yourself by visiting SEO news sites to stay in tune with the latest trends. The engines keep on shuffling their formulae and strategies so you can do good to get yourself updated on the latest news.
6) Alt Tags
When adding a picture or an image to your webpages you must add connected key phrases and words to the alt tags. Taking this simple step helps in boosting your PR.
Reviewing your site from time to time, implementing the necessary changes, and keeping abreast of the newest trends in Search Engine Optimization will definitely ensure your site achieves a top ranking for your chosen keywords and key phrases.
