The Company
Telecom Plus PLC, trading as the Utility Warehouse, is one of the UK’s largest and most successful
companies. We have a strong balance sheet, consistent profits, no debt and substantial cash resources.
The company’s shares have been listed on the London Stock Exchange since June 2000.
We began trading in 1997, offering a unique range of low-cost telephony services to householders
and small to medium-sized businesses. Until then, this was a market that had generally been unable to
benefit from the discounts or special offers available from the large telecom suppliers who dominated
the industry.
A few years later, Telecom Plus became the first company from outside the Energy Industry to receive a
full licence from the industry regulator, Ofgem, allowing us to supply gas and electricity to the domestic
market. This was a huge endorsement of the systems, management and financial strength of the
Company.
In 2002, Telecom Plus launched the Utility Warehouse, a single brand to encompass all our great
value services. Through the Utility Warehouse Discount Club, we supply residential and business
customers with essential services used by virtually everyone. Our main objective is simple: to save our
members money. We do this by giving them better value on services they were previously receiving
from suppliers like BT, British Gas and the regional electricity companies.
We also save our members money through a wide range of exclusive benefits such as our CashBack
card, customer referral scheme, Findmethecheapest and our online shopping website. And we will
continue to look for new ways to help our members save even more money in the future.
In addition, we provide two valuable non-financial benefits – award-winning customer service and the
convenience of a single monthly bill.
By concentrating on essential services that nearly everyone uses, our potential for growth is almost
unlimited. And by building our customer base using the power of network marketing and personal
recommendation, we have created one of the UK’s most exciting businesses – with which you are now
a Partner!
